Marketing: Getting Up to Speed

ds

Speed. Quickness.

That’s a major part of marketing.

Especially during the pandemic, you need to be able to adapt to changing facts on the ground.

This isn’t new.

What is new are the ways that you can do exactly that.

Not every method and tool will be right for every company. However, by identifying the right ones for your business, you’ll be one step closer to giving your business the best opportunity to succeed in any business environment.

“Flash Sales” and More

One of the most popular marketing gimmicks during the pandemic has been a sale that you “drop” out of nowhere that lasts for a very limited time. These “flash sales” are a great way to bring in money right now.

On top of that, many businesses are able to use them to move seasonal items, to free up inventory space, or something similar.

To take advantage of the “flash sale,” of course, you need to already have the infrastructure in place.

Initiating a flash sale without having the web design, email list, social media reach, and similar, necessary tools essnetially dooms your flash sale to failure.

“Legs Feed the Wolf”

That line entered the popular lexicon from the “Miracle on Ice” US Olympic Hockey Coach Herb Brooks.

Basically, what it means is that your legs have to be in good shape, because if they are, then you’ll be able to catch up to slower animals so that you (the wolf in this scenario) can catch them, eat them, and thrive.

In terms of hockey, it means that you have to be able to skate and move quickly before you can win.

In terms of business, it can mean that you need to have everything taken care of in terms of web design, marketing, and more, before you can be “fast” enough to keep up with ever changing circumstances on the ground.
