Does it feel like all of your content is more or less the same? Have you felt “stuck in a rut” with it? You’re doing the same thing as you were successful with before. Yet, now, it’s not getting you the results that you would like?
Marketing is, in many ways, a grind. It’s something that has to be done, day after day, and it’s not always easy to see the positive results (even when they’re good).
Indeed, that’s just one more reason that so many folks turn to Danny Star and the team here. As challenging as online marketing can be, it’s important to have someone on your side who can make it that much easier for you. That way, you can spend more time with your business and less dealing with the day-to-day ins and outs of marketing.
Recently, we read a great article about real estate agents that has some fantastic ideas for how anyone can get out of a marketing “rut.”
“Create Content Around Your Area of Expertise”
This is a really, really great way to think about content, especially if you’re stuck.
In the article, the author tells new real estate agents that “you don’t have to create content around real estate.”
However, you’ll note that the author does not say “just post content about your personal life” or something.
Rather, the author said that “the purpose of content is to show that you are the expert on your neighborhood or metro area. You can do that by talking about the best restaurants in town, the best hiking trails or the best local farmer’s markets.”
Now, as SEO professionals, there are many, many more purposes to content than just showing “you are the expert.”
However, that’s a very important part of content.
Indeed, many of our personal injury attorney clients have plenty of content where they talk about how they’re helping the community, (through donations, charities, scholarships, and the like). There’s also plenty of info about safe driving, ways people can get involved, and more.
Show you’re an expert. Connect on a human level at the same time.
As long as your content includes that, you’ll be golden.
