The Influencers You Can Always Afford

Danny Star

“We’d love to get influencers for our project but it’s so hard to afford someone that would actually help.”

This is a valid point that so many marketers and small business owners are facing right now.

Sure, there’s more money in “influencer marketing” than ever.

But, the goal isn’t just to bring in a great influencer.

It’s to influence your bottom line.

The Danny Star team thought about that when we came across this article which states that “the influencer marketing industry is forecast to be worth $13.8 billion in 2021, up $4.1 billion compared with last year.”

It’s entirely possible that many companies feel “shut out” from influencer marketing. After all, it’s unlikely you’re going to be able to get an A-list movie/TV star, a TikTok star with millions of followers, that kind of thing.

However, there is one kind of influencer who can always be a great help to your company.

Who You Can Get

People who love your product, good, or service.

They can be your influencers.

One strategy that Danny mentioned in his book, as well as in his seminars and blogs, is to get the folks who love you to promote for you. That may mean having a contest, some sort of giveaway where the method of entry is to review how much they love the product.

Perhaps you’re looking for a written review, or maybe you’d prefer a video testimonial.

Either is great and can be re-used in many different formats.

Sure, those may not have the immediate allure of a huge influencer/star, but they’re infinitely more affordable.

Better still, they’re a renewable resource. You can build on them over time.

One thing you’ll never have to worry about with the folks that love your company: authenticity. They mean it. They aren’t just saying something due to a contract, they’re being real. That’s something that your potential customers will respond to as well.
