The Digital Age is Upon Us

Every single blog post on this site could start with a different version of “this is an uncertain time.” The coronavirus has already led to massive societal upheaval all over the world. The important thing to keep in mind is that not every change that comes out of this upheaval will be bad. Some will be positive. As an SEO expert, I can tell you that it’s important to find what’s best in a situation and accentuate that.

One thing I can already tell you is that this is going to lead to a more digital age. Things were already headed there, but this is going to accelerate it. Everything is going to be done online now. Someday, when the social distancing and quarantines are lifted, we’ll all spend more time out of doors and around other people. But, some of the behaviors that have stepped up in this time: Zoom meetings, online classes and more, those are going to be around for the long haul.

If there’s a way to move more of your company into the digital space, do so. Videos, classes, telemedicine, all of it – people are going to be looking to do more and more from their homes. That’s true at the moment of this writing, on St. Patrick’s Day, and it will be true for long after as well. We can’t say how everything will turn out yet, but we can tell you that the more your business can do without people having to come to you, so much the better.

There are, of course, exceptions to everything. Restaurants might be doing better than ever before. We certainly have clients that are. Why? Because they’re able to have food for takeout. Customers can come, get it, and return home, all without violating the social distancing protocols.

This is a tough time. However, it’s important to use this time constructively and positively. We can do it together. To learn more about how your company can use this time constructively, call me at (213) 457-3250.
